    Mrs. Mann Tineo was born in Puerto Rico and grew up learning English and Spanish simultaneously. She attended elementary school in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Argentina, and graduated from high school in La Paz, Bolivia. She obtained her degree in Political Science at the University of Puerto Rico, where her mother and father both taught. NY City Public Schools recruited her to teach in District 9 in the Bronx after graduating, and she decided to obtain her MS Ed. in Bilingual Education at CUNY- City College. Once she completed her degree, she relocated and taught Bilingual Education in Fort Worth, Texas, and Spanish Immersion in Fairfax County Public Schools, Virginia. Marriage brought her back to NY, where she began working at Jackson Annex in Hempstead in 1998.

    She has taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade, Math AIS, been an Interim Assistant Principal & ENL teacher at Marshall, Joseph Mc Neil, and David Paterson. Throughout her 30-year teaching career, she has stayed current in her field, obtaining additional licenses to help improve her craft. She is a proud mother of 3 boys; a college graduate and twins currently in college. She is very excited to have been given the opportunity to work at Rhodes Academy of the Humanities & Arts.
